Encaustics and Fine Art

In addition to creating photography in the traditional method, I also do encaustic photography, traditional encaustics, and sculpture. I have included some samples of this work below, most of which have sold. For new pieces or commissions please contact me directly!

Encaustic Photography

Encaustic photography is a process whereby a photo is in an archival manner adhered to a substrate and then encaustic wax is layered over it.

I have been working on developing a carving process to enhance my photos as seen in this video.

Traditional Encaustic

Because my formal education was in sculpture, my encaustic work always incorporates three dimensional aspects.

I enjoy integrating found objects into my work as you can see to the right; I also enjoy making wax molds and creating my own three dimensional objects for incorporation.

Ocean Encaustic Studies

This video is of a few Traditional Encaustic works I did while living on Cape Cod; both have sold.

To commission a three dimensional work such as this please contact me for more info!

Solo Show

In the fall of 2018 I was invited to host a solo show at Blue Mountain Lake Gallery, which featured my encaustic photography.

10% of the proceeds went to Sjogrens awareness and many purchases were made. One of my images was even bought as a gift for a customer living in Denmark; my work is now officially overseas!
